Cinnamon Jam Donut

Think donut holes but healthy and packed with protein! YUM. Grab a bag of Strawberry Jam Donut Protein Powder, frozen raspberries, chia seeds, peanut butter, and a few other essentials, then hit it with a dash of cinnamon. Its a great plant based dessert for vegans and non-vegans alike!


ingredients

JAM FILLING:

DONUTS:

  • 2/3cup / Coconut flour
  • 1cup / Almond meal
  • 5tbsp / Rice malt syrup (or other liquid sweetener)
  • 2tbsp / Coconut oil, melted
  • 2tbsp / Macro Mike Peanut Butter (your favourite flavour)
  • 2tbsp / Almond mylk (or any plant based mylk)
  • 1/2tsp / Cinnamon ⠀

CINNAMON SUGAR:

  • 1tbsp / Monk fruit, granulated sweetener (or coconut sugar)
  • 1tsp / Cinnamon

steps

Add the frozen berries, chia seeds and liquid sweeter to a small saucepan and cook over a low heat for a few minutes.
 
Once the berries are soft, stir in the protein powder and turn off the heat.
 
Leave to the side to cool.
 
Combine all of the donut ingredients in a bowl until it sticks together.
 
Separate the mixture into balls (makes 10 decent sized balls), and poke a large hole in the top of each one.
 
Transfer the jam mixture into a piping bag and pipe the jam mixture into the centre of each ball.
 
You can use a small amount of ball mixture to seal the ball if you wish.
 
Combine the cinnamon sugar ingredients in a small bowl, and then roll the balls in the sugar mixture to coat.
 
Store the balls in an airtight container in the fridge.
