✨ Air-fried to golden perfection in just 7 minutes — no deep-frying, no fuss.
Steps
-
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed banana, wholemeal flour, protein powder, and baking powder. Mix well until a thick, sticky dough forms.
-
Lightly oil your hands to prevent sticking, then roll the dough into 6 evenly sized balls. Leave about 1 inch of space between each ball on a lined air fryer tray - they'll expand as they cook.
- Spray a little olive oil and air fry at 180 degrees (356 F) for 7 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
-
While still warm, brush each doughnut with melted butter or a bit more olive oil. In a small bowl, mix the caster sugar and cinnamon. Roll each doughnut in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated.
- Using a piping bag, you can get at the supermarket, fill each doughnut with a little raspberry jam. We used homemade raspberry chia jam for a healthier twist.
